  • 1/2 tbsp 1/2 sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp 1 water

  • 1/3 cup 1/3 minced ginger

  • 1/3 cup 1/3 sliced green onions

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 neutral oil

  • 1 tsp 1 sesame oil

  • 1/8 tsp 1/8 salt to taste

  • In a bowl, combine the chicken thighs with turmeric, salt, sesame oil, and water. Let marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  • Rinse the jasmine rice until the water runs mostly clear, then add it to the rice cooker.
    Pour in the chicken bone broth and stir in the chicken bouillon and sesame oil.
    Add the sliced ginger, smashed garlic, and scallions over the rice.
    Arrange the marinated chicken thighs on top of the rice in a single layer.
  • Close the lid and cook using the quick rice setting. For my rice cooker, the quick setting is about 30 minutes.
