Ingredients

  • 2 2 strips of bacon

  • 3 3 boneless skinless chicken thighs

  • 1 tsp 1 garlic salt

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 paprika

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 garlic powder

  • 1/8 tsp 1/8 black pepper

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 broccoli

  • 1/2 1/2 onion

  • 1 1 head of garlic

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 water

  • 1 cup 1 heavy cream

  • 1.5 cup 1.5 shredded cheddar cheese

  • Knorr Rice Sides
  • 2 packets 2 Knorr Rice Sides – Creamy Chicken Flavor

  • 3 cups 3 water

  • 1 cup 1 milk

Directions

  • Prepare the Knorr Rice Sides per instructions of the package. Set aside.
  • Mince bacon and fry on the pan until crispy. Remove bacon bits from the pan keeping the bacon fat on the pan. Season chicken thighs with garlic salt, paprika, garlic powder, and pepper. Sear on the same pan with oil for 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken thighs and rest for 5 minutes before slicing into chunks.
  • Boil broccoli for 3-5 minutes until tender and cut into smaller pieces.
  • In the same pan, sauté diced onions, minced garlic, and bacon bits until the onion is slightly caramelized. Deglaze the pan with 1/2 cup water. Add the heavy cream and 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese. Constantly stir on medium – low heat until sauce is combined and thickened.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cooked Knorr Rice Sides, chopped up chicken & broccoli, and sauce. Add to a baking dish. Layer on rice mixture, then cheddar cheese, rice mixture, and top off with cheddar cheese. Bake at 400F degrees for 15-20 minutes and 1-2 mins on broil high to get golden crust. Sprinkle paprika on top after baking.
