Get ready to fall in love—Hawaiian style. We’re diving fork-first into a bold, buttery island favorite: Garlic Butter Steak Bites Plate, a dish that brings sizzling steak, garlicky goodness, and big aloha energy to your table. Whether you’re using ribeye, sirloin, or even Impossible Steak Bites, this recipe brings that crave-worthy balance of savory, sweet, and smoky with a tropical twist. It’s fast, it’s fun, and it tastes like a vacation on a plate.

In true Hawaiian plate lunch fashion, we’re talking three essentials: a juicy main, fluffy rice, and creamy mac salad. But here, the star is those sizzling steak bites—seared to caramelized perfection and tossed in a buttery garlic glaze that’s kissed with a hint of soy. It’s the kind of flavor that makes your eyes close with the first bite. You’ll want to mop up every last drop with your rice, and then maybe go back for more.

The beauty of this dish? It’s flexible. Want that classic steakhouse richness? Go ribeye. Prefer lean and quick? Sirloin or flank. Going plant-based? Impossible steak bites crisp up like a dream and soak up that garlicky butter sauce just as beautifully. No matter your pick, it’s still all about that sauce—rich, salty, garlicky, and just sweet enough to remind you this came from the land of luaus.

And let’s not forget the vibe. This isn’t a fussy, plated dinner—it’s chill, casual, and meant to be enjoyed with friends, family, or standing over the stove sneaking bites straight from the pan (we won’t judge). Pair it with a scoop of rice, a scoop (or five) of Hawaiian mac salad, maybe a drizzle of teriyaki if you’re feeling extra—and boom, you’ve got a plate lunch party in your kitchen.

So fire up that skillet, sharpen your knife, and get your taste buds ready for some serious flavor. Whether you’re going classic or plant-based, this Hawaiian Garlic Butter Steak Bites Plate is here to bring big island flavor—no plane ticket required.

Ingredients

  • 1 1 packet of Impossible Steak Bites (can sub for ribeye)

  • 3 tbsp 3 unsalted butter

  • 1/2 1/2 onion

  • 1 1 head of garlic

  • 1 tsp 1 soy sauce

  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 garlic salt

  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 paprika

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp 1 vegetable oil (for cooking)

  • Creamy Mac Salad
  • 1/2 lb 1/2 elbow pasta

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 mayo

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 milk

  • 2 tbsp 2 apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tsp 1 sugar

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 grated carrot

  • 2 tbsp 2 green onions

  • 1 tsp 1 garlic salt (adjust for taste)

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 pepper (adjust for taste)

  • Extras
  • steamed white rice

  • sriracha

  • boiled cabbage

  • green onions

Directions

  • Boil macaroni pasta 3-5 minutes longer than the box instructions so it’s tender when mixed and chilled. Drain but do not rinse the macaroni. In a big mixing bowl, add the macaroni, apple cider vinegar, mayo, milk, sugar, grated carrots, sliced green onions, garlic salt, and pepper. Adjust to your liking with how creamy or tangy you want it. Creamier = more mayo, Tangier = more apple cider vinegar. Throw into the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving.
  • Impossible Steak Bites – thaw steak bites and air fry per instructions.
Ribeye Bites – cut steak into 1-2 inch cubes. Season with garlic salt, pepper, and paprika and sear on the pan with oil. Remove from pan.
  • In the same pan, heat up oil and sauté minced garlic and thinly sliced onions. Toss in the steak bites, (if using Impossible Steak Bites, season at this step with garlic salt, soy sauce, garlic powder, and paprika). Add knobs of butter. Fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Plate with steak bites, mac salad, boiled cabbage, steamed white rice, sprinkle of green onions, and sriracha drizzle for spice.
  • Enjoy!
