Air Fryer Crab Rangoon Rolls

If you love crab rangoons but wish they came in a bigger, crunchier bite, these Air Fryer Crab Rangoon Rolls are about to become your new favorite snack. Imagine all the creamy, cheesy, crabby goodness of the classic appetizer, but wrapped up in an egg roll shell for maximum crispiness. Instead of deep frying, we are letting the air fryer do all the work which means less oil, less mess, and still all the crunch. It is the kind of snack that disappears fast, so you might want to make a double batch.

One of the best parts of this recipe is how easy it is to throw together. You only need a handful of ingredients like cream cheese, crab, green onion, and seasonings. Mix it all up, scoop it onto egg roll wrappers, roll them up, and let the air fryer work its magic. In less than 15 minutes you will have golden brown rolls that taste like they came from your favorite takeout spot.

The sauce situation is also important. These rolls pair perfectly with sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, or even a homemade dipping sauce if you are feeling fancy. The contrast of the creamy filling with a tangy or sweet dip makes every bite addictive. I personally like to set out a little dipping sauce buffet so everyone can pick their favorite.

This recipe is also super versatile. Hosting a party? These make the perfect appetizer. Want an easy lunch or dinner? Pair the rolls with a side salad or some fried rice and you have a satisfying meal. They also reheat surprisingly well in the air fryer, so you can make a few extra and enjoy them the next day.

So if you are looking for a fun twist on a takeout classic, these Air Fryer Crab Rangoon Rolls are it. They are crispy, creamy, cheesy, and just the right amount of indulgent. Plus, they come together quickly and do not require a deep fryer which is always a win. Grab your air fryer and a pack of egg roll wrappers and get ready to impress yourself and anyone lucky enough to snack with you.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz 8 cream cheese

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 shredded imitation crab or real crab

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 sliced green onions

  • 1 tbsp 1 soy sauce

  • 1 tsp 1 sugar

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 sesame oil

  • pinch of garlic salt and pepper

  • sweet chili sauce

  • avocado spray oil

  • Egg Wash
  • 1 1 egg

  • 1 tbsp 1 water

Directions

  • Make the filling:
In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, shredded crab, green onion, mozzarella, soy sauce, sugar, salt, sesame oil, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
  • Fill and wrap rolls:
Lay out the egg roll wrapper in a diamond shape. Spread out the filling in a rectangle shape in the middle. Fold over the sides then top and roll over. Seal with the egg wash (beaten egg and water). Place in the freezer for 15 minutes to firm up.
  • Air Fry:
Spray the air fryer’s pan with oil to prevent sticking, then spray all sides of the rolls to help them crisp up. Air fry at 375F degrees for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until brown and crispy.
  • Serve:
Garnish with sliced green onions and serve with sweet chili sauce. Enjoy!
