Thai style fried chicken is one of my favorites types of fried chicken. It is so light yet crispy and pairs perfectly with delicious sweet thai chili sauce. There’s very few things in life that I love more than a juicy fried piece of chicken, and this is no exception. I love to serve this with garlic rice and the sweet chili sauce is a must. You will definitely have this in your dinner rotation at least twice a week.

Ingredients

  • 4 4 boneless chicken thighs

  • 1 cup 1 flour

  • 1 tbsp 1 garlic salt

  • 1 tbsp 1 onion powder

  • 1 tbsp 1 garlic powder

  • 1 tsp 1 paprika

  • 1 tsp 1 pepper

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 soda water

  • frying oil

  • Garlic Fried Rice
  • 1 1 head of garlic

  • 2 cups 2 day old rice

  • 1 tbsp 1 soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp 2 vegetable oil

  • Green Onion Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 3 tbsp 3 bottled sweet chili sauce

  • 2 tbsp 2 vegetable oil

  • 2 tbsp 2 green onions

  • 3 3 garlic cloves

Directions

  • Pound out chicken thighs so it’s as even as possible and trim any fat
  • Combine flour, seasonings, and soda water into a bowl and make a thick batter
  • Dip chicken fillets into the batter and fry in 350F-375F oil until golden brown and crispy
  • Garlic Fried Rice
  • Mince garlic and fry in pan with oil until crispy, remove the garlic bits, and fry rice
  • Season the rice with soy sauce and toss the crispy garlic bits back in the pan with the rice
  • Green Onion Sweet Chili Sauce
  • Slice green onions and mince garlic and fry in pan with oil for 30 secs
  • Mix green onion garlic oil mixture with sweet chili sauce and pour over chicken or dip on the side
  • Enjoy!
